Vision, mission & philosophy

An Aruba where global expertise and local talent drive each other forward.

Vision

“An Aruba where global expertise and local talent combine to drive sustainable growth, cultural confidence, and international competitiveness.”

Mission

We provide a lasting platform for Arubans abroad to share their experience, mentor locals, and align organizational processes with technology. By countering brain drain, building efficiency, and preparing Aruba as an offshore resource hub, we unlock new economic pillars for the island.

Philosophy

We believe Aruba's strength lies in the unity of its people at home and abroad. By sharing knowledge, adopting global best practices, and embracing innovation, Aruba can reduce dependence, avoid waste, and position itself as a reliable partner in the international economy.

The problem

When information is fragmented, decisions slow down.

Most organizations in Aruba don't lack ambition. They lack alignment between data, processes, architecture and people. Reporting takes too long. Projects lose momentum. AI experiments stay isolated. Teams work hard, but the organization doesn't move fast enough.

  • Slow decisions

Reporting takes weeks instead of days, so leadership reacts to what already happened.

  • Fragmented data

Systems don't talk to each other. Every department has its own version of the truth.

  • Stalled projects

Initiatives launch with energy, then lose momentum without clear ownership or gates.

  • AI without adoption

Pilots prove the concept, then stay isolated because the organization isn't ready to run with them.

That's why SciSpecs was founded: to combine deep knowledge of Aruba's culture and economy with international standards in enterprise architecture, analytics and change management.

The Rapid Scan

A focused 2–4 week diagnostic that tells you exactly where to act.

We map your systems, data flows and decision processes, then hand you a clear, management-ready view of what's working, what's costing you time, and what to fix first, including quick wins you can start immediately.

We run a limited number of Rapid Scans per month to keep the quality of every diagnostic high.

  • A clear view of current bottlenecks
  • A practical improvement roadmap
  • Quick wins that can start immediately
  • Prioritized recommendations across data, architecture, AI and change adoption
  • A management-ready summary built for decision-making

Team

Local roots, international standards.

Rooted in Aruba and active internationally, we apply the same frameworks used by enterprise and government organizations abroad, adapted to how business actually gets done here.

  • Aldrick Ruiz, MD, PhD

    Aldrick Ruiz, MD, PhD

    Enterprise Architect & Founder

Combines enterprise-scale systems thinking with rigorous scientific inquiry, bringing the same discipline used at Fortune-level organizations to how Aruban organizations connect strategy, technology and operations. His career spans medicine, science and technology, giving him an unusual ability to turn complex, mission-critical systems into frameworks that leadership can actually act on. Founded SciSpecs to bring that same evidence-based rigor to every engagement.

  • Gerald Croes, MSc

    Gerald Croes, MSc

    Agile Delivery & Finance Expert

The bridge between architecture vision and operational reality. With nearly 20 years in the finance domain at major Dutch banks, including regulatory reporting and financial-economic-crime expertise, he understands how financial institutions actually work. As a certified Agile coach, he also translates architecture into ways of working that teams can execute, bringing that same hands-on approach to helping organizations adopt AI in practice.

  • Bryan Croes, MSc

    Bryan Croes, MSc

    Regional Manager & Delivery Lead

Makes sure that what the rest of the team sets in motion actually lands. He has extensive experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from start to finish, with a sharp eye for stakeholder management, planning and quality. Based in Aruba, he coordinates engagements on the ground, translating strategy into the day-to-day reality of the teams who have to execute it, so recommendations don't stay on paper but actually turn into work that gets done.

Services

Three ways we help you move faster.

Each service stands on its own. Together, they close the loop between how you're structured, what your data tells you, and how your people actually work.

  • 01

    Enterprise Architecture

Create clarity in how processes, systems, data and decision-making connect, so change in one part of the organization doesn't break another. We map how work actually flows today, then design a structure that's flexible enough to absorb new regulation, new systems or new leadership without starting over each time.

Best fit for organizations juggling multiple systems, departments or entities that no longer talk to each other cleanly.

  • 02

    Advanced Analytics

Turn fragmented data into insights that support better management decisions, before problems escalate instead of after. We build the dashboards and reporting lines that give leadership an early read on risk, cost and opportunity, instead of a rear-view mirror once the quarter is already closed.

Best fit for teams that make decisions on gut feel or outdated reports, because the real numbers take too long to reach them.

    AI & Change Adoption

Move beyond isolated experiments and embed AI into practical, everyday ways of working, with the people side handled, not bolted on. We pair the technical rollout with hands-on coaching, so new tools get adopted by the people who use them daily, not just approved in a steering committee.

Best fit for organizations with AI pilots that never scaled, or teams unsure how to introduce new tools without losing buy-in.

We lead Enterprise Architecture, Advanced Analytics and Change Adoption. Application development, DevOps and IT operations stay where they belong, with Aruba's local developers and IT teams. We partner with them, we don't compete with them.

  • Reporting & operations

A reporting department reduced cycle time from three weeks to five working days by redesigning process flow, ownership and data handovers.

  • Project portfolio

A project portfolio reduced delay risk by introducing clearer decision gates, better visibility and stronger ownership at every stage.

  • Government & public sector

For a national government body, we documented how business operations actually run across departments and roles, creating a shared reference model that leadership and teams could finally agree on.

  • Life sciences & pharma

For a global pharmaceutical organization, we designed a cloud-based analytical data infrastructure built around interoperability, so data could move cleanly between systems instead of getting stuck in silos.

  • Global enterprise architecture

Across several multinational life-sciences clients, our architecture work has spanned global application and data infrastructure design, cloud strategy at the edge, and quality-assurance transformation from post-production checks to in-line quality control.

  • AI & change adoption

For a group of financial advisory firms, we moved AI from isolated pilots into daily workflows, pairing the technical rollout with hands-on coaching so new tools actually got used, not just approved.

Process

A low-threshold way to start.

Five steps, in order. You can stop after the roadmap if that's all you need, most clients continue because the quick wins are already paying off.

  1. 01

    Intake

A short conversation about your priorities, constraints and what "faster decisions" would mean for you. No forms, no lengthy proposals, just a direct conversation to see whether a Rapid Scan is the right next step.

  2. 02

    Scan

The 2–4 week Rapid Scan: systems, data flows and decision processes, mapped and assessed. We talk to the people who do the work, not just the people who manage it, so the picture reflects how things actually run.

  3. 03

    Roadmap

A prioritized, management-ready roadmap covering data, architecture, AI and change adoption, ranked by impact and effort, so you know exactly what to tackle first and what can wait.

  4. 04

    Quick wins

The improvements that don't need to wait, started while the bigger roadmap gets underway, so you see tangible progress within weeks, not months.

  5. 05

    Adoption support

Hands-on support so new ways of working actually stick with your teams, not just on paper, coaching, training and follow-up until the change is part of how people work, not a one-off project.
